This class competition had over 40 teams that were given the same set of raw materials and given the task of designing and fabricating a winning robot. The competition theme was Robot Olympics and the task was to carry medals of varying weight up to podiums of varying height. The heavier the weight and the higher the podium meant more points.

I worked in a small group of 4 with students in the class. I was given the task of designing the drivetrain. Even though the robot appears to have 4 wheels, the back two wheels are just for show. Instead, I had implemented a low friction peg in the back axle to reduce the points of contact to the table from 4 points to 3. This was to avoid the redundant point of contact and to create a more stable robot.

The name for the robot arose from its inability to raise medals to the tallest podium.
